High School Diploma

Broncos rock! I was in Band and Marching Band all four years of my high school, you could find me marching in the woodwinds section, playing the flute with all my heart. The last two years, I was given the incredible early leadership opportunity of being Drum Major. Music always has been and will continue to be one of the passions I hold dearest to my soul. Other than that, I was briefly secretary and official robot driver for the Northgate robotics team. A Youth Educator my senior year, educating middle school students about drugs, alcohol, and peer pressure. A bollywood dancer in the annual multicultural event. A volunteer at my local Kaiser Permanente hospital. A part of my school's film club. And a 1st degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. High school kept me busy for sure!

Yes you read that right, that's six years for just Undergrad. College was a constant uphill battle for me, but despite wanting to give up hundreds of times, my family and my peers pushed me through and I was finally able to walk across that stage and recieve my Bachelors degree. Nothing comes quite close to the moment I knew I had finally completed my college journey, and honestly, if I were to go back and tell myself one thing, I would say that it's all going to be okay, you're going at exactly the pace you need to be. Even though the degree physically may just be a piece of paper, I finally started to understand why so many people are proud to display it in their offices or studies. I'm proud of this degree not only because it represents my success and achievement, but because it also rerpesents all of my failures and hardship. I can look back at those failures and realize that each time I fell, no matter how far down, I bounced back up until I finally reached my goal.
